Wood and Glass Age Well
Painted metal chips. A warm wood base and a glass shade keep looking right for far longer, which is the point.

About this piece
Cream glass does something clear glass cannot: it softens the source so the bulb never glares. The Alvorum Lyra Cream Glass Ceiling Light pairs that shade with a warm wood base, giving bedrooms, hallways, dining rooms and living rooms a fixture that reads as vintage without looking staged.
Lyra changes character through the day. Three selectable colour temperatures take it from a warm evening glow to a neutral working light, and the dimming range goes low enough for a hallway at night. Wood and glass age better than painted metal, which is the point. It suits vintage, modern, Scandinavian and japandi interiors.
