About this piece
An open frame casts shadows as part of the design. The Alvorum Ferro Sputnik Ceiling Light leaves its structure visible rather than hiding it behind a shade, so the fixture throws pattern across a ceiling as well as light into a room.
Ferro is mid-century geometry done in two finishes. Slim matte black rods cross at angles on a short central stem, each ending in a brushed gold lamp holder that carries a bare globe bulb. It mounts close to the ceiling rather than hanging on a chain, which makes it usable in rooms that cannot take a full drop. It works in mid-century, modern, industrial and eclectic interiors.

No. It takes four standard E26 bulbs up to 40 W per socket, which lets you choose the brightness and style that suits the room.
What ceiling height does it need?
Eight feet or more is comfortable. The fixture is semi-flush and drops 11.8 inches from the ceiling, so it clears head height easily over a table or in a hallway.
Is the black finish uniform?
The arms are matte black powder coat and the four lamp holders are brushed gold. Both are hand finished, so there is slight variation across the frame rather than a machine perfect match.
